THE JOURNEY HOME

When I was a kid I was “forced” to go to France every year. I didn’t value the importance of reuniting with family, and I certainly didn’t understand how impactful of an experience it would become. My first couple of summers I was doe-eyed at the apathetic sounding foreign language. I tucked myself in my uncle’s office watching seasons of Naruto at a time.

You know the only thing that would inevitably get me out of the room? The smell of a fresh baguette picked up from the local boulangerie on my cousin’s route home from work. Dinner was family time and there was no excuse powerful enough to break that. Not even the Chunin Exams. I could overlook the swirl of BO and cigarettes that would attack you at every corner for the bread alone.

Make no mistake, I would grow up to discover the sun-drenched coastline of Nice just beyond my uncle’s computer screen. The unhurried afternoon conversations, the appreciation for quality materials, and the casual after-dinner cigarette that define the south of France. This collection is built from the reality of Riviera living through the lens I experienced it. It’s heritage, romanticization, and history all combined in some of my favorite pieces we’ve ever produced. Please buy it please god please.
